Lino Print and Abstract Painting

The several lino prints were created which after were cut and rearranged. Also abstract painting was created coming out of this lino print designs. Lino prints are created on A5 size.

The following outcomes have been created by cutting and rearranging lino prints. While I was producing these outcomes I concentrated on colour combinations, pattern design and repetition. 

The following painting was created using area of my lino design and it was enlarged. I have mainly used warm colours, a touch of complimentary colours and discord of blue. Painting created on A3 using acrylic paints. 

Letter press

For the letter press project I have used ink and as tool blocks of letters. Also different backgrounds were created using different techniques which makes patterns and textures. 

I have manipulated images making photocopies and rearranging them. I have created as positive as negative shapes making collages. Also additional materials as magazines were used. All of these works mainly are about the composition and colour combination. 

Also last letter press collages did inspire me to create book cover for Angela Carter's book which seen in different post. 

Observational drawings and use of mixed media.

 The observational drawings of shells have been made using graphite pencil on white A3 paper and next one is on black A3 paper using mixed media such as sand, collage, emulsion paint and white pencil. 

The collage of plant was made using different texture and thickness paper such as painted paper, tissue paper, wallpaper and prints. The collage is created on A1 size. Generally it is about choosing relevant colours and careful observation and understanding what include and what not include as composition is quite busy. 

Capri Sun juice packaging design.

The task was to combine brand design and some artist work style. My choice was Capri Sun juice pack design and Picasso's techniques. As he is well known as cubism artist, I was trying to transfer the real design- create it more angular and relevant to cubism movement. I have used pastel pencils and paper size is square of A3. I used existing design as it helps to recognize brand.
In Photoshop I have place my design on real Capri Sun juice pack.

Silk Screen Print

I have created silk screen prints based on a trip to Cathedral. I have created photo stencils with poem, patterns and architecture of Peterborough Cathedral. All the photographs which I used for silk screen stencils were taken by myself during the trip. Before printing I have prepared backgrounds and for one them was used newspapers and paint scraped over page as it seen below. 

 I cut out sections which I found interesting and different from the outcome above.

Stamp designs

The  stamp designs are created using lino prints which were scanned in and manipulated in a Photoshop program. 

Stamp designs were placed on envelope to show how design may look like in real life. Envelope size is 11 cm x 22 cm which is same as real size envelope. This outcome also has bee created in Photoshop. 

Little White Lies magazine cover

For the start the portrait was drawn and photocopied. After several ideas of techniques were generated using different media and different techniques. I have used pencils, markers, soft pastels, fine liners, and watercolours .Each portrait was created on A4 size. 

After experimentation and working in Photoshop few outcomes were chosen. In Photoshop I combined techniques such as multiplying layers, increasing brightness and contracts, duplicating layers and much more. After design was finished the magazine logo was added which was given before. I have chosen four outcomes which were printed out as A4 front cover designs.
